Would it be good to have the TPS in your business? If you were doing something that was putting paying clients off, or losing you business, wouldn’t you want to know about it? This is where you need feedback forms and a prepared ear for some honest responses..
I was reading in the Matthew Syed book called “Black Box Thinking”. There it spoke about the unusual idea that Toyota car makers had for the production line and it referred to TPS. “Toyota has an unusual production plants process. If anyone on the production line is having a problem, or observes an error, they pull a cord which stops the production across the whole plant. Senior executives rush over to see what has gone wrong and if an employee is having difficulty performing their job, help them. the error is then assessed, lessons are learnt and the system adapted. It’s called the Toyota Production System or TPS and is one of the most successful techniques in industrial history”
When we setup a small business management plan, we suggest having a feedback form on your website and encouraging honest customer comments. In that way you can learn real views and facts from your customers. Then responding to all criticism in a positive way will give your credibility a boost. Take a look on TripAdvisor and you will see that the TPS is in full swing. Hotel guests use the feedback to praise or complain, hotel managers comment kindly on both and promise to learn from mistakes.
Overtime trust is built and genuine complaints are learned about and fixed. if you need the TPS system added to your business web site then let us know.
We hope you do use feedback forms on your website. We find Contact 7 forms work well on WordPress and Mailchimp is a superb platform for keeping the form simple to fill out. If you need help in adding a feedback form to your business then let us help on our contact form here.
