Why would you want to create A Google My Business Review Link? Mainly because customers who love your product need a prompt to write a review. They may be more than happy to do so, but the easiest it is for them, the more likely they will oblige.
Thereby the more accurate reviews you get, the more useful your business becomes for new and potential clients to see how you handle your customers. More reviews can mean more traffic and business with confidence.
Once you have the link, you then can send it to all your previous customers and ask them if they would support your business by writing a review for your Google My Business community. You can imagine this is a really simple and powerful way of helping clients decide between the competition and your business. Future sales and repeat purchases often are based on recommendations and reviews.
As seen in the video you can share the review form straight from the home page of your listing (See 1) After opening this you see dialogue box (See 2) You can then use this link or if you have social media connected then share it through other areas like Twitter or Facebook.
Before you get going though…
If you have been looking for the easiest way on the web, like me, you may of come across some older videos and tutorials. Some talk about using Googles API, others try taking special long links and converting them to short-links using bit.ly.
But all of these are very 2017 with Google Places and 2019 with the bit.ly process. There is even a tutorial that shows you how to self populate the review so it has maximum stars. But now things have changed, its easier and slicker than ever.
So for making a direct link its very similar. I’ve also covered this in the video above.
Under info on the left hand menu go to “Share your Business Profile” (see 1)
Then you get a dialogue box (see 2) where you can share the link to social media etc
Where will you put your link. On invoices, quotes, do you have a newsletter? Comment below and let us know how you plan to share your link and what success you had.
In the past you could actually self populate the link to show 5 stars by default. But Google considered this an unfair assumption and have since removed this type of link. Having said that Google is keen for you to get links and has since made creating a review link considerably easier.
So my tutorial is the very latest, fastest, easiest and free way to generate a link you can send to current and past clients and customers so they can write you a review.
