Managing User Roles in Google My Business Listings Will Help You Keep On Top of the Business.

You really don't have to do it all. I have many business owners contacting me and just wanting it managed on their behalf. It makes sense for some businesses. Alternatively you can do it all yourself by following videos in this series, but it's not for everyone.

Some of you will need to delegate the role of managing. Even if you run everything now, if the business gets a large boost at some point you may find you are overwhelmed with business responsibilities.

Google My Business knows and understands that you can't always do everything. Sometimes helping others to take responsibilities off your shoulders can be really useful. Google My Business Listings User Roles

Delegate, if you want to run your business, but not into messaging, quoting adding photos, optimising, then you can add other users. Let me explain 3 types of users for listings:

  • Owners,
  • Managers, and
  • Communications managers.

Each User role has different levels of capabilities that allow an owner to share management of a listing with multiple people without having to share personal account information.

Check to see if you have more than one user, do you need your web guy to update posts, blog and add GMB to his list, do you need to change the user type for those you have enrolled?
