Reason 1. VERIFICATION
Jump to 1:40
Some businesses aren’t verified. In effect, you need to claim your business. Normally a phone call or a postcard is needed to the address for it to be verified with Google. It must be verified on Google My Business or Google Maps. It will barely show against competition if it’s not verified. Low competition in your business is probably the only way it will be seen in the results.
You need to put your postal address in to verifiy your busienss with Google if you want an easy and safe journey. Any other way starts to complex matters, muddies the waters and doesnt always end in a pleasant way.
Reason 2. SUSPENSION
Jump to 4:02
Google My Business suspended has to be one of the worst reasons to find a no-show. Google suspension is one of the most common reasons for not appearing on Google Maps or search engine results. It can be down to all sorts of reasons, but from my experience is often down to someone in the business adding more than one listing for the business. A sad but easy mistake to make.
Additionally, if you have a marketing or SEO agency involved in the past, they may have added multiple locations to get immediate results. This only gives a short term boost and will at one point or other trigger alerts at Google. However, don’t forget that even your competition can report any violation as a way to bring down your company a peg or two.
Google always pulls the primary listing and all other listings down if it feels there has been a violation. It afterwards sends out a message that is pretty vague and tells you very little. Your account has been suspended for violation of Google policy or suspended due to quality issues. You then have very little direction and help to locate what caused this violation.
Ultimately you will find its Google’s way of making sure you totally clean up the listing. Reinstating a suspended account for violation of Google My Business policies is a slow process.

Reason 3. RELOCATION

Have you relocated your office in recent months? Maybe with the busy move, you have yet to update your location on Google My Maps. Why isn’t my old address still showing though?
You need to manually update any business location move via your Google My Business dashboard.

Having said that, Google is quick to remove your company if a local reports your vacated office as no longer open. Surprising how it works one way but not the other. So if you do leave a facility an empty shop, do take control.
Reason 4. NO ADDRESS
Jump to 9:54
Some Business Owners are paranoid about giving out there address. If you don’t want Google to know your address it’s understandable. Owners of private homes aren’t generally wanting visitors calling during the day time or office hours. Especially 24 hours a day services

Shared office space can be a very cost-effective and positive experience. Especially for a startup business. The downside is other businesses have registered the same address in the past and this can mess up any efforts to kickstart your Google Business listing.

In Google or Google My Business, your business may not appear because it lacks location authority. Location authority can be made up of several factors including:
